2 Sisters Detective Agency
2 Sisters Detective Agency is a suspenseful mystery thriller. This standalone book is written by James Patterson and coauthored by Candice Fox. James Patterson is a successful blockbuster author of crime and mystery thriller novels mainly. Patterson has a diverse range of novels under his belt and one of his better ones is Along Came a Spider (25th Anniversary Edition). Other than this, he did a brilliant job with the writing of his Blowback novel.
The audio narration of 2 Sisters Detective Agency is done by the dup of Peter Giles and Mela Lee. Peter was overly dramatic with his voice which was not needed and Mela was just fine playing her part.
Attorney Rhonda Bird made a return back home after a very long estrangement. This was the case when she came to know about the death of her father. She made a couple of critical discoveries there. Her father stopped working as an accountant and instead, he opened a detective agency. Moreover, she also came to know that she had a half-sister named Baby who by then was a teenager. Baby brought in a client to her father’s detective agency who was a young man. He claimed that he was abducted. During the investigation, Baby and Rhonda became deeply involved in an extremely dangerous case that also had a group of over-privileged youngsters. For them, breaking the law was pure fun.
The plot of this story is too much over the top and completely bizarre. The protagonist has extremely weird motives and all these things didn’t lead to a good book for the listeners to enjoy. The audio narration at its best was just mediocre.
