The four mages who were being trained in the art of magic were sent to Gold Ridge so that they could finally get to know their powers. When they reached the place, they realized that they were finally able to use their magic but it was not in their proper control. The issue was not with the place rather it was their emotional state which was altering their spells. Their fear was making them lose control of their magic and on many occasions, the magic just resulted in a wild way.
Daja, Tris, Briar, and Sandry didn’t lose heart rather they continued with the experimentation and on one occasion Daja brought to the world something quite marvelous. She brought to the real world, a vine that was made of living metal. All of them knew that it was not only something amazing but also something that could bring a lot of fortune to them.
Daja wanted to trade the thing and the problem was that dealing with the Traders was not an easy thing to do. Tamora Pierce has done it again here as the author has narrated the story with his team as well. These stories are fabulous if you have some interest in magic and magical lands.
Alanna, The First Adventure, and Squire could be added to the bookshelf if the interest increases with the passage of time. Don’t try to think too much about the happenings in the story and make your mind able to enjoy and believe in these things. Trying to bring logic to these stories will surely destroy all the fun in them.
