The Tracker Hive Academy: Year One is the first chapter of the Jade Storm Tracker Series. The paranormal fantasy novel is written by Avery Song. She is an author specializing in writing paranormal romance, reverse harem, and urban fantasy stories. Apart from the subject novel, she has highly appreciated for her writing in Witchling Academy: Semester One and Supernatural Inmate novels. The audio narration of this book is done by Lacy Laurel. Her voice for Shade Jade was a little grating and lacked variation otherwise as well.
I was all done with my share and experience of homelessness. I endured being the really bad girl in the room. I took a lot of punches from life on the chin. But I never expected to attend an academy that was full of delinquents of power-hungry type. I was born with powers that were too challenging to control. Only at the age of eight years, did I end up being homeless. I lived on the streets after my family was gone. I was quite quick to learn that the entire world was as cold as my heart.
I was the one carrying all of the eight magical elements while the enemies sought me out from every possible dark corner. I was lucky enough to be saved and then taken in by the headmaster of that Tracker Hive Academy whose name was Alaric Masters. I am jade Storm and I am the youngest ever recruit in the Tracker Hive Academy.
When I turned 18, Alaric was pushing me to join the academy. I will do the same but only on my terms. The only goal I had in my mind was to learn about the strength of my powers and then just breeze through the coming four years. I was not interested at all to join any of the cliques. And I was not there to make any friends. If there was one lesson that life gave me, it was that I work best alone. The story of The Tracker Hive Academy: Year One was just okay but the narration was terrible.
