Wayfarer’s Keep is the third book in the Broken Lands series. It is an epic fantasy romance novel which is written by T. A. White. She writes science fiction and fantasy novels that are dominated by strong, kick-ass heroines. If you are interested in more books from the author then go with her Where Dragons Collide. Other than this, Secrets Bound By Sand is also a very exciting book from White. The audio narration of Wayfarer’s Keep novel is done by Christa Lewis. The narrator didn’t have much natural cadence. There were pronunciation issues as well.
Shea along with her fiercely dangerous warlord, Fallon was branded as a traitor by her people. She traveled to the seat of power of the Pathfinder at the request of her father. She was looking for an alliance despite the distrust between them. It doesn’t take long for Fallon and Shea to realize that there was something dangerously wrong in the place which she once called home. The deadly, ancient creatures gone for many hundreds of years who then walked the lands once again. They were finally aroused from their deep sleep. Even worse, it appeared that the Pathfinders were keeping some sort of a secret. It was something that could destroy them once and for all.
Right on the edge of a battle with each other, the Trateri and the Pathfinders must look to join forces if they had any hope of triumphing over the evil right at the core of the Badlands. As the tension mounted between the two groups of people, along with Shea and her family then Fallon and Shea must look to convince them to sort out their differences. Only that way they could win with the impossible odds.
Wayfarer’s Keep is an amazing story. The book comes with all the political machinations that you experienced in the first two books of the series. With slightly better narration, this audiobook could have been exceptional.
