Break Shot: My First 21 Years Audiobook
Break Shot: My First 21 Years is the second volume in the Words + Music series. It is written and narrated by James Taylor. He is an American publisher and writer, and also the co-founder of the Dolphin-Moon Press. James Taylor’s narration was not that impressive as it lacked quality in his voice and projection.
This book was recorded in The Barn, which is his home studio in western Massachusetts. He told the story of his youth which was in a great way entwined with the story of his family as well. It all started as more of an idyllic tight unit which in quick time became a family that was sent to several different emotional corners. That was just like a break shot played in the game of pool. As per him, when you slam the cue ball right onto the 15 red balls then they would go flying off in all directions. [Break Shot: My First 21 Years Audiobook]
By the time James Taylor realized about his sensational, breakout album that came in the year 1970, Sweet Baby James, then he saw the disintegration of the marriage of his parents. All of his family crumbled in its aftermath. [Break Shot: My First 21 Years Audiobook]
James Taylor after such a tough time committed twice to a psychiatric hospital. On top of that, he battled hard with depression and as well as heroin addiction. Even worse, he suffered a relapse which made him travel far away from the moonshine and wood smoke of the North Carolina landscapes. Despite all of that, he was also on the brink of superstardom and on his way to bringing joy and light to millions of his fans and followers. What is the most surprising part of that story until now is that he was 21 years old only.
