Cake Audiobook
Finally a love story at hand, it is difficult to find love stories in the literary world where the authors are going for action and suspense mostly. J. Bengtsson breaks the routine all the time by producing stuff like Ripple Effect and Fiercely Emma. The author’s main motive is to bring non-conventional thoughts to the scene.
Usually, the same routine in the stories makes us feel bored and the end of the stories seem to be too much predictable in such scenarios. Jake i.e the rock star in the novel was a typical loner from his early youth. There was a time when he wanted to have the company of friends and family but that time has disappeared so fast.
In that prime youth, Jake was working for his career and making unforgettable songs. Then he was left all alone when the youth disappeared and he became a boring adult. The music filled his life with charm but there was a sense of lack of fulfillment in his life. At the wedding of a friend, Jake was given the company of a young girl named Casey.
Casey thought that the adult sitting next to him would be extremely boring but that was not the case at all. The two had a good time that night and they continued to meet each other after that meeting as well. Andi Arndt and Joe Arden have narrated these two lovely characters here. The love that developed between these two was not caring about any kind of borders or barriers. Perhaps their company provided them a chance to accept each other without further delay in life.
