This didn’t help as such to develop a connection between the character and the audience. Weeks before Michael Bennett, the NYPD Detective was to marry Mary Catherine, his longtime girlfriend, an assassin disclosed his presence in the city. All of that was announced through a series of grisly murders committed. Every victim of that murderer was a woman and all of them were killed with precision.
Bennet had his task cut out to work along with his new partner to solve arrange of cold-case homicides all across the country which fit the same kind of pattern. It also proved that the perpetrator that they were looking for was quite experienced in killing and as much as he was with the evasion of detection or being caught.
Bennet vowed to Mary Catherine that the murder case wouldn’t affect their due wedding at all. But just when Benet prepared himself for making the lifelong commitment, the murderer on the other end had a lethal vow of himself to be fulfilled.
