Gwen Cassidy wanted love in life which is of course hard to find in the modern era where people don’t give importance to true love at all. For years she was looking for a perfect match for herself i.e a person who could love her wildly according to her desires. Then just a slip took her down to the caverns where she saw the man like none other i.e a dashing highlander waiting for her like a dish on a plate. Gwen just cannot resist the temptation and she kissed him with the full passion that made the highlander open his eyes. Drustan MacKeltar was there in the cave for the last five centuries and this one single kiss just brought him back to life. The man knew that he had to go back in time because he was needed very badly there by his people but he was unable to leave the girl who had done the magic. So he decided to take Gwen with him, this was something the poor girl was not ready for at all but the highlander of course was not asking. Dragged to the sixteenth century because of one single kiss Gwen finds herself in a lot of danger because there are people there who want to kill both of them.
Karen Marie Moning wrote Bloodfever and Darkfever too but this one is raw. Love, lust and desire everything can be seen in this single novel of the “Highlander” series narrated by Phil Gigante. The picture of the sixteenth century show the true domination of male society in which the women were kept just for the pleasure purpose only.
