Kresley Cole in a lovely way describes the teasing techniques adopted by the vampire in order to convince Lucia. This is not the first time we are witnessing love between a vampire and human, A Hunger Like No Other: Immortals After Dark, Book 2 and No Rest for the Wicked: Immortals After Dark, Book 3 were full of such crushes. In a life threatening situation Cole lets the breeze of love and romance to enter the life of those in trouble. Romance and lust divert the attention of the listeners from the main theme for a while and the characters also get interested in their personal life and tend to forget the worries. Robert Petkoff wanted to provide this book some lusty sounds but he didn’t succeed so after the middle the narrator goes on the simple easy way.
Pleasure of a Dark Prince: Immortals After Dark, Book 9
Lucia is a huntress by profession which means that she kills vampires without showing mercy. During her life as a huntress she has made couple of warm enemies for herself. She is not safe for sure and sooner or later she is going to die at the hands of a vampire unless she hires a guardian for herself. A human guardian might not be ample for her safety so she thinks it would be better to find a person skilled and talented like her who does not feel fear in front of the demons. Ironically she finds a vampire for the job who is also eager to be with her all the time. The one applying for the hob of a guardian is none other than Garreth i.e the prince of Lykae. Garreth not only likes the huntress rather he has a special crush on this special girl thus he is not ready to let her go at any rate.
