The Traitor Queen is a romance fantasy novel. It is the second chapter in The Bridge Kingdom Series. The book is written by Danielle L. Jensen. She is the bestselling author in USA Today of her amazing Malediction series and the Bridge Kingdom series. Hidden Huntress is a good novel by the author and so is Stolen Songbird.
The audio narration of The Traitor Queen is done by Lauren Fortgang and James Patrick Cronin. They both were good with their narration. However, the weird background music played between characters was quite annoying. Lara only had one thought at the time when her husband was taken away as a prisoner – It was about doing whatever it takes to set him free.
Lara was a queen in exile in the capacity of a traitor. She had seen the Ithicana conquered by her father. She felt completely helpless to do anything to stop the destruction. But when she learned about Aren, her husband that was captured in war, Lara knew that there could be only one good reason why her father was keeping him alive – It was all set up as bait for his traitorous daughter. Moreover, that was the bait that she was all set to take.
Lara risked her own life in the Tempest Seas. She made a return back to Ithicana with a definite plan not only to free its king but also to free the Bridge Kingdom. It was under the clutches of her father and that could well be done by using his weapons – Those weapons were her sisters whose lives she spared. The best part of The Traitor Queen is its characterization where you will find all independent, capable, and strong female characters. The writing and narration were both brilliant as well.
