She is an American author of young adult novels where The Selection is her most amazing series. The Crown and The One are two of the most exciting novels that Kiera Cass has written.
The audio narration of The Selection novel is done by Amy Rubinate. The voice of the narrator especially in the first half sounded way too mechanical and wooden. But it then got better in the second half.
The Selection was the chance of a lifetime for as many as 35 girls. It was a great opportunity for them to escape a rigid and problematic caste system. They will be living in a palace and will compete for winning the heart of the handsome and gorgeous Prince Maxon. But when it was about America Singer then being Selected was more of a nightmare. In other words, it meant to turn her back on having a secret love affair with Aspen. He was a caste below her and was competing for a crown which she does not want.
Then soon America Singer met Prince Maxon. She quickly realized that the life she had always dreamt about might not compare anywhere close to a future that ever never imagined.
The writing and characterization of The Selection novel are good enough to engage the listeners. It is a glittering hot royal romance that would surely capture the legion of loyal listeners of Kiera Cass as well as the lovers of the courtly intrigue. However, the narration as a whole was disappointing, to say the least.
