Destiny calls Breen Kelly back home when she wasn’t ready for it at least mentally. Breen has spent her life listening to tales about magical lands and that is something that most of the kids experience in their childhood. One thing which the girl never knew was that in her case the stories were true to the core. While striving for a better life in the city Breen out of nowhere became the heir of four million dollars that were left for her by her father.
The amount was surely more than enough for her and she after solving the basic financial issues in her life decided to move to Ireland. The decision was not with a motive, Breen just wanted to move to that distant land and when she reached there she comes to know that the stories that she has a vague idea of are all true.
The faeries and the mermaids exist in a different realm of which she is an integral part. A secret portal transfers her to the realm of the magical creature and there she gets the hint about her destiny. Nora Roberts was surely praised as a genius in Legacy and Genuine Lies and she has proved it again. If anyone except Barrie Kreinik had narrated this novel the voice would have mixed and difficult to recognize at the climax.
All the fuss is well handled by the narrator and Barrie has given us a chance to explore the story much further to understand what is happening in the faery land. Fate has brought the girl back and she is not ready to disappear before she fulfills her destiny.
