This chapter by B.V. Larson starts with the peace talk which the people of the earth want to promote. For this sole purpose the people of the earth send their best warrior to Mogwa Prime. James McGill has one mission i.e to go to Mogwa Prime and prove that the earth can serve as an ally to the Empire. Everyone was hoping for a warm welcome but James received a cold shoulder instead.
Mogwa Prime wants to test the potential of the human race and also its worth if made an ally. James gets stuck in the middle of this big scenario because he came with the proposal in the first place. It is Rigel which the people of the earth have to deal with in order to prove that they are not a worthless being in the universe.
Job is not easy at all because not only the planet has six moons; it also has a climatic condition which is totally unbearable. There is nothing that can be done at this point except to fight. Mark Boyett narrates the character of James in a way that he appears to be a confused character in front of us. James is ready to give is life for the sake of his world but he is not sure that would it be enough to impress Mogwa.
Whoever listens to this should not forget Fire Fight and Edge World as one book by Larson would not be enough for you. Larson’s worlds and space stuff makes the listeners crazy about everything and they want to enjoy such new stuff every night all the seven days of the week.
