The world of humans was looking for aliens and other planets in the universe where life existed and then finally aliens approached them. Surprisingly the aliens were not friendly at all and they didn’t come with a peace treaty either. They wanted to take control of the human world and the human marines stopped them right on time.
Jacob Brown was not born at that time when the aliens tried to invade the earth the first time. Then the aliens came for a second time and at that time Jacob was a teenager. The boy wanted to save his beloved planet but he was not allowed to do so because of his age.
Later he became an adult and was able to fulfill his dream by signing in as a marine. He wanted to be there when the alien attack the earth a third time. He got the training from the best officers the earth had and finally the day came when he was assigned his first duty. Jacob got a little surprised when he came to know that the mission was a suicidal mission. Signing it was like signing for his death and if he says no to the orders then he would be sent home instantly.
The boy was confused that why he was chosen for this purpose and later he got the chance to unveil some secrets that the people on the earth knew nothing about. The war was not what it seemed from the outside by an ordinary man. In Counterstrike and Iron & Blood, the author Joshua Dalzelle launched the story at once and here it takes time to open fully in front of the audience. One listens to it has to show some patience to reach the original thing and good thing is that Paul Heitsch’s narration does not let you get bored.
