Another part of the series that was launched like a rocket in the first part is now finally here. Such type of stories are usually never-ending type and the people who start listening to such literature get glued to the books such as this one. Maxis Drago does not meet many people and he has remained isolated since the day he came to this world.
The problem is not his ego rather his big wings come in the way. He has fifty-foot wings which mean only one thing he is not an ordinary being for sure. Maxis is a dragon and he has been living a passive life for many years. There was a time when his skills and powers were needed in the world but all of his enemies have been killed now and there is no one against whom Maxis has to rise with full potential.
Sherrilyn Kenyon describes Maxis as not in a happy condition because the dragon was cursed by the enemy hundreds of years ago. The curse still exists and after the loss of his wife, the dragon has not tried to break the curse. Old enemies of the kind seen in Shadow Fallen and Bad Moon Rising rise one more time and Maxis could have just walked away if he hadn’t heard the news about his wife.
Maxis gets the news that his wife is still alive and this ignites a new spirit in him which can bring down all those who stand in the way. Holter Graham has given his best to narrate not only the dragon but also the enemies which come before him after hundreds of years.
