Life of a GhostWalker is full of terrible things and there is no way out once you are hired for the job by fate. Kane Cannon is one of the GhostWalker and perhaps he has shown that he has been one of the strongest over the years. Kane has no weaknesses and he goes to the target with complete focus and gets the job done in extreme concentration. Giving him a mission means that you will get a hundred percent result in the end and the enemy is bound to run or has to surrender himself against this predator kind of a hero.
In this time of success, Kane is given a mission that he readily accepts and it is not much different than the rest of the jobs that he has performed over the years. One thing he was unaware of was that the mission took him close to the female he once used to love i.e Rose Patterson. Rose was of the same kind and then she left everyone and tried to get settled in her life.
Kane was not ready for a relationship and that’s why Rose just left him. Perhaps there were some other reasons too but the two have never talked about them ever. Now after many years the two meet and Rose has changed a lot because she is just thinking about her unborn child. The enemies are after her and Kane has to go beyond all the boundaries to save her and the precious life she is carrying with herself.
Christine Feehan is a real master in knitting wonderful endings, we have seen this in Shadow Storm and Murder at Sunrise Lake before. Tom Stechschulte could have done better in narration as the narrator had a superb talent in him. Still, we cannot say that the narration was done very badly, it is acceptable by all means.
