False Gods Audiobook
The rule of the kings has always been threatened by an angry son more than the enemies around. The battle for the throne within the family is the real danger that can end the whole family in no time. The Emperor of Mankind before his death handed over the kingdom to his favorite son i.e the Warmaster Horus.
The prince proved to be just like his father on the battlefield and also in the affairs of the state. However, a certain group started working against Horus because it favored Primarchs. This second son of the Emperor became a bitter rival of Horus since the day this young man became the king. Primarch wants to get rid of Horus as quickly as possible because being second in the line to the throne he would be picked automatically after the death of Horus.
Horus was on planet Davin when an attack from the enemy left him badly wounded on this distant planet. It was a golden chance for the enemy to take control of the throne in the absence of the real king. The king is left on Davin to wait for his death because of the wounds that have already made his body weak.
Graham McNeill mixes old and new thoughts in this novel which comes to us in Toby Longworth’s voice. Treacheries remind us about The Swords of Calth and Fulgrim on many occasions. But while listening to the book the listener does not get involved in other tales as there is only a small flavor in it about the past mysteries. The novel has a strong story of its own that’s why no support was needed from the stories of the past.
