This is the “good guys” series thus anything can happen here, even the world can go down within seconds and the new world can be created too. Montana’s life has not been a very fine one because he has faced a lot of difficulties during his rise as a leader and also as a hero of the land. Now his journey is complete and he can live peacefully, well at least that was the plan. Nothing goes as planned in this strange world and Montana who was already troubled by the pants he received from the goddess got into more trouble when enemies started coming from all sides.
Lord Caticorix was not the sort of enemy who could have made Montana worried about the situation, however, the army he brought this time was different. The army blocked the city’s routes from all sides and this means that no food supply or help of any kind could reach near the city walls.
Ursus was harmless for Montana and his men in the past but when Montana gave refuge to some of the people who have run from the Ursus government the people too turned against him. Now it is an attack from all sides and no one is safe. Though the war has not entered the four walls of the city starvation could soon eat everyone up.
Eric Ugland has a well-charged up style of writing a story and Neil Hellegers has an equally well narrating style. Memories of classics like Killing Them Awfully and Second Story Man are revived through this book. Panic and destruction have decorated the entire novel and it is the kind of war that does not end peacefully.
