Creating a character like Conan was a difficult thing in the past and Robert E. Howard achieved a real landmark when he came up with this character. The stories about Conan are a blend of magic and raw fight. Conan is presented as a warrior who evolves on his own because his mother died at childbirth and he had not seen his father ever.
The young warrior takes help from no one and makes himself a true warrior by working hard day and night. His true strength always lies in the courage which he has in his heart and soul. The book has thirteen of the original stories about Conan which Robert E. Howard wrote in his lifetime. Not only the stories but also the order of the stories is the same so this book is an antique version of fiction.
During these thirteen stories, Conan goes on several missions, and during these missions, he visits enchanted lands with a lot of magic involved. Throughout, the young warrior possesses one dream in his mind i.e to become the ruler of the land with the help of his might. Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Cimmerian Barbarian and The Savage Tales of Solomon Kane are fantastic when it comes to the story and its wonderful description.
Here Todd McLaren also narrates his heart out in every chapter. Narrating Conan’s character was not an easy thing to do but Todd can handle anything. The Cimmerian does not get defeated in any of the battles but he does lose some serious friends and dear ones in every battle at the end.
