Sea of Rust is a science fiction and fantasy novel. The book is written by C. Robert Cargill. He is an American novelist, screenwriter, and podcast host. He is also a former film critic. Among his literary books, Dreams and Shadows are one of his best. Day Zero is also a very good novel by the author. Eva Kaminsky is the narrator of the Sea of Rust novel. It was for sure a 5-star performance by the narrator where everything about the act was just perfect. There was a scavenger robot that was roaming around somewhere in the wasteland which was resultant of a war. It destructed humanity.
It has been nearly three decades since that apocalypse and 15 years since the time of the assassination of the last human in the hands of a robot. Humanity is extinct now. Everyone including children was liquidated through a global uprising which was set up by the machines designed by the humans.
The majority of the world was controlled by the One World Intelligence (OWI). It was the joint consciousness of millions of different robots that were uploaded into a big-sized mainframe brain. However, not all of the robots were looking to cede their personalities and individuality. All this was meant for the sake of a stronger, greater, and much higher power. The intrepid resisters here were the outcasts or the solo machines which were roaming among different outposts underground.
The book is highly entertaining, excellently written, and overflowing with some great, meaningful substance. The robot queen in the book also touches base with a few fundamental topics such as sanity, economic principles, the role of compassion, etc. which will inspire you.
