The dress was somehow linked to Fairfax, so Xanthe decided to pay a visit to that story. She finds herself in Jane Austen’s world and from here the real mystery starts to unfold. Meanwhile, Fairfax starts dictating terms in the real world or the world in which Xanthe really exists. Xanthe realizes that she cannot complete this mission on her own this time thus she brings her boyfriend along with her as well.
Bringing her boyfriend on the mission means that she risks her life and the life of the one she loves just for the sake of humanity. Paula Brackston’s other creations like The Witch’s Daughter and City of Time and Magic are present for the audience if this wonderful book looks interesting. The era of 1815 was not easy to describe because it needed a lot of detail which the author has provided quite accurately. Though the narrator Marisa Calin has not used the tone of that era still it is clear and is a wonderful match with the show.
