Saving the world is never a bad idea because you are helping the other people around you. Saving another world where you don’t belong does appear to be that great especially when you have your family to save as well. Daniel Clay was a war hero and he was quite excellent in his field. Later he left all of that bloodshed in order to give more time to the field of science. Moreover, he fell in love with the woman who also shared the same kind of dreams. Together the two settled in alien Tyr for a research purpose along with their son.
For years they were able to analyze these species in a hidden way and when the new team arrived, they were asked to leave the place. They didn’t leave the place because the new team came to rule the Tyr and that means that they wanted to eradicate the alien civilization. Daniel and his wife didn’t want bloodshed so they started protecting the aliens which made them enemies of the Corporation as well. Some of the aliens also considered them enemies so the family really got isolated from all sides after a single decision.
Richard Fox is at his best in the opening chapter of this series. If you have been a fan of The True Measure and The Battle of the Void then it is time to forget those books that this one is taking over.
Narrated by R.C. Bray this is the kind of literature that can attract the youth and the mature fans equally. The way Daniel’s family supports him is also quite exemplary.
