One of the finest ever created by the author comes to us and there is a treat for people of all ages. No one is going to reject the thoughts that are there in this story because they appear to be quite real. Conversations with Friends is a good book but this book is more interesting compared to that one. Sally Rooney comes up with four characters in this novel and the only thing common in these four characters is their age.
They have passed their prime youth and now they think that they are growing old. The problem is that none of them is well settled in their personal life. They want a permanent relationship and also the desire for sex is troubling them as well. The first one is Alice who is a novelist by profession but she is not looking for a story this time.
When she meets Felix who happens to be a worker at the warehouse, she thinks that he is a nice man to start a relationship with. The two go to Rome in order to spend some time together. Meanwhile, Eileen and Simon are trying to develop a relationship too so these couples are trying to settle but there are problems that come in the way.
Narrator Aoife McMahon has not tried to give an extraordinary voice to the characters because the author wanted the characters to look like normal average people. Normal People could be a great thing to listen to because it also comes up with people that look just like us. We are not talking about heroes here rather we are talking about average people with their routine problems.
