New Orleans again becomes a place of action in Heather Graham’s new story. Heather has a touch that can change any place into a mystery. We have witnessed it in A Perfect Obsession and then also in Phantom Evil too. The mystery and terrible secrets of the past are brought to light in this story about the Blood Bayou killer. A tourist was roaming around at night when he saw the blood near the bayou.
When he started tracking the thing, he was astonished to see a dead body covered in blood. The man was beaten badly and his head was split into pieces. Danni got approached by a friend who told her that he thinks that he is next and for this purpose, he is in need of help. Danni and Quinn get involved in the case through this call for help.
The friend in distress claims that he has received a threat from the killer so it is apparent that he is the next one who is going to have a bang on the head. Soon Danni realizes that the threat was not for that man only rather all of them are in danger. Someone is trying to repeat the local history about a killer and Danni has to look for the reason behind the thought.
The killer is killing his victims with a serious grudge and there is no stopping until he is caught by the police. Dermot Mulroney is a really good narrator and this thing has been proved here by all means. The narrator knew exactly how to deal with the different characters emerging in the story.
