Born in Fire is a contemporary romance novel. It is the first chapter in the Born In novel series. The book is written by Nora Roberts. Her name is what that first comes to mind when we talk or hear about romance literary work. She has entertained us with many novels as good as Year One. Other than this, Unfinished Business is another mind-blowing book from the author.
The audio narration of Born in Fire is done by Fiacre Douglas. The narration was weak and it lacked emotions which made this book difficult to listen for everyone to. Maggie Concannon was a glassmaker. Her exquisite works were through being a lot more than just objects of beauty. There were thought to be reflections of her exact nature. There was one man who went on to see the soul in her art and also vows to support that complex lady’s buildup of a lucrative pro career.
Rogan Sweeney was the owner of a gallery. The time when he came to their isolated studio of Maggi, her heart was enflamed completely by their intense attraction. On top of that, her tainted past started to heal slowly and steadily with forgiving and gentle love.
Born in Fire is an entertaining novel. The book could well be described as fast-paced and light, which is set in the Irish countryside. The listeners will be deeply immersed in all the conflicts that Rogan and Maggie faced. Those were also refreshingly realistic and all the characters themselves are likable and well-rounded. The narration was a thumbs down but apart from this, everything about this book is good. This book is still recommended to be tried in audio, if not on paperback.
