Burn is a contemporary romance novel. It is the fifth book in The Steel Brothers Saga. The book is authored by Helen Hardt. She is a #1 bestselling author on the most considerable American platforms, including NYT and USA Today. You must try out her Blush novel. Another recommended book that Helen Hardt has written is Melt.
The audio narration of Burn’s novel is done by Teri Clark Linden and Alexander Cendese. Narration was below average. Not all male narrators can do female voices well and that was the issue with this audiobook as well.
Jonah Steel was found knee-deep in an attempt to solve the mystery surrounding his family. It was also about the abduction of his brother. Everything got more complicated with the arrival of his best friend. However, it was not as much as complicated as his infatuation with the therapist of his brother. Her name was Dr. Melanie Carmichael. The extremely quiet humility of her beauty had him enthralled. He burned for her as he has never felt that for any other woman in his life.
Melanie Carmichael was known to be quite an intelligent woman. She was driven but at the same time, filled with regret as well. She fell in love with the charming Jonah Steel. But she also feared that she might never be able to confess her love for him. Those demons from her past life came chasing her, and she might not be able to get out alive from there. The story of Burn is really good but the narrators spoiled all the fun. This is a book that should have been narrated by Sebastian York or someone of his caliber.
