If you are not an adult then don’t touch this book because the theme will surely burn your mind. The book has detailed scenes about mating and some leisurely moments which Harper and Knox share in bed. Harper was just a tattooist in Las Vegas and she had no high hopes about getting something special in life. Her simple life and little profession were enough to satisfy her. Then a man entered her life who starts attracting her towards him. Quickly he starts acting like his mate and tries to bring her closer. One thing Harper didn’t know about Knox was that he was originally not a human from the inside.
Knox happens to be the alpha of his lair and acting like a billionaire businessman in the morning was just camouflage for the outside world. Harper didn’t want to be a part of all this but her heart develops a special feeling for Knox which she cannot explain. Later terrible threats hit Harper’s life and she cannot tell what the issue is with her or who her enemies are. All she knows is that she is in trouble and the only one who can save her life is Knox.
Knox is one of those characters created by Suzanne Wright who doesn’t let go of their prey. The alpha just doesn’t let anyone touch his stuff and Harper is one of his prime possessions. We have seen alphas looking for mates in Fallen and The Favor so the style of writing or the theme is not new by Suzanne. The only thing which the author has as her strength is the description of the scenario.
