Cast in Fury

Private Kaylin Neya gets another case to solve and this time direct from the royalty when she wasn’t hoping to get even an invitation. In the episodes such as Cast in Conflict and Cast in Shadow, Kaylin got big cases and she wasn’t reluctant to say yes. The woman has never backed down from a challenge thrown in front of her and this time she was ready to show the same kind of mood.

Things however just went over her head when the Emperor orders to organize a play so that the things can be pacified. During the progress of the play, Kaylin must investigate without being noticed so that at the end of the play she might be able to trace the real criminal.

Though the main character is tricky the politics of the court are even trickier. She tries to blend in unnoticed and later realizes that most of the people are keeping an eye on her. In such a situation extracting the truth is not possible at all but she was satisfied as she had Marcus with her. Marcus was the sergeant in the court and when the time comes he to is terminated from his services without any reason.

Kaylin here understands that something big is going to happen in the play and if she does not catch the real criminal in time then it would be too late for all of them. Michelle Sagara’s work comes with an even better effort in narration by Kristine Hvam. This book will become your favorite after you finish it in full detail. At moments a listener had to rewind a little because the situations tend to get confusing here.
