Ironical things happen in life, most of the time we turn in something we hate the most. This is where our life gets pathetic but we are left with no way out. Christine Feehan comes up with another vampire hunter, the kind of person we observed in Shadow Storm and Shadow Storm. Killing vampires is the only thing that Rafael De La Cruz likes, it is his passion and this has kept him united with his brothers. The killing or extermination of the vampires has taken Rafael away from other satisfactions of life.
He has not found a mate for himself ever in his life because he has remained so much busy in the stuff associated with the vampire world. Now when the emotions start to take over Rafael tries to find the perfect match for himself and he is lucky that he finds it in the form of Colby.
There is one issue i.e Colby does not want to get into a relationship rather she wants to keep her siblings away from the De La Cruz brothers who have come to claim them. At this time Rafael can win the heart of the woman whom he wants to make his mate but to do that, he has to go against his brothers and also the thing for which he has been working.
Richard Ferrone has narrated the story with full force and without any restrictions. The narrator was given the freedom to utilize his voice in the best possible way to make this show appealing. The desire for a mate in Rafael is portrayed to perfection by the narrator.
