Song of Making i.e the power to bring life back in the world has been lost for ages and Mac, Barrons, Jada, and Ryodan are trying to find it. The world of humans and the fae creatures is under a great threat and there is nothing that can be done unless the book is found. Mac for a very long time has been under a curse because of which she was being controlled by an evil power. Now that evil has been unleashed over the world in the form of a book.
The only way to get things back to normal is to destroy the book before it gains more power to control the world. Song of Making can destroy the book but it is also lost and no one has a clue about it. Karen Marie Moning in the previous parts also told the audience about the missing Seelie queen who knows where the powerful magic exists.
The queen is still nowhere to be found and the Unseelie prince is continuing to gain control over the earth. These are dark times and creatures from both worlds have to sacrifice big time to get the job done. There is a chance that the sacrifice of the soul might be needed when the time will come.
Jim Frangione and Amanda Leigh Cobb have performed before in the series but this book is better than Darkfever and Bloodfever in voice clarity. The two narrators have tried to utter each of the words with full clarity and attention. Their voices don’t get blurred and it is one constant performance that comes to our ears.
