Viola Davis has been a very good narrator by all means. She has made quite a name for herself by narrating Corduroy and Just as I Am. This is her creation once again and this time she has written it too. This is not the story of any other girl rather the author has told the story of her own life. She makes us meet the little girl named Viola and starts telling us everything true about her.
The author has not tried to garnish anything and she has not tried to eradicate anything either rather she has depicted the past as it was. For many years the author tried to run away from her past because she was scared of it and hiding seemed to be the right thing. When the hiding and running didn’t work for Viola she took the other way around and started facing the devils of her past.
Suddenly she felt that the devils disappeared when she started looking at them in the eyes. It was the best way to get rid of the past so the author wanted other people to understand the thing as well. She thinks that if every person who is afraid of something, starts facing it then he will be able to change his life within days.
The memories of the past will stop terrifying that person and he will start loving his life and himself as well. All you have to do is to find yourself that is hiding somewhere in you but you are busy with other things and you ignore yourself. Start appreciating your abilities and qualities so that everything becomes awesome for you.
