Ha’ven’s Song is a science fiction romance fantasy novel. It is the first book in the Curizan Warriors novel series. It is written by S. E. Smith. If you have time and space for more books on your reading list then do add in her Abducting Abby novel. You will also not be disappointed with the audio version of her Tansy’s Titan novel.
P.J. Ochlan is the narrator of this book. It didn’t turn out to be a good performance. He was putting unnecessary force on his voice. Listeners could sense his voice to be angry with the characters for no reason. He really should have toned his voice down a bit.
Ha’ven was the crown prince of Curizans. It was a sophisticated and advanced species that was widely known for its great technology. They might not have all the power to shift just like the Sarafin or Valdier. But they had all the hidden powers of their own that they always guarded quite closely. Not even Creon of the Valdier or Vox of the Sarafin, who were his friends, were aware of all the powers he had well within his lethal frame.
Ha’ven was quite happy to support his Valdier friend whenever he used to call. There were just two things that would satisfy the restlessness right inside him. He had no desire as such to settle down just like two of his other friends had. He used to enjoy his freedom along with the diverse range of women who were at his disposal. Everything changed when he caught a glimpse of the amazing beauty. His blood needed her and his magic ached hardtop meld soon with hers. But, she blocked all of his advances…
This is a pretty decent book with a solid story but it was the poor narration that let down the listeners.
