Parents play a key role in the life of an individual because they are the ones who are close to him or her in the early years. The relationship between the parents with their kids really matters a lot and for Beyah, it was the one thing that destroyed her life completely. Her parents just threw her in the gutters and she emerged from those ghettos only because of her own zeal and enthusiasm.
Now in her successful life, she thinks that the only cause of her success is her own sheer will that’s why she does not believe in anyone else. Now in just two months, she loses all that once again for which she worked so hard in life and she thinks that she had no way to go. In these sad moments, she wanted a place where she could hide for a while and regroup herself. The home of her father was not the right place for her but she was left with no other option in life.
Right from her childhood, she had no interaction with her father so it was an odd thing for her. After a few days, she observes Samson who happens to be the next-door neighbor. The two were really poles apart as author Colleen describes them and still, they had one thing in common and that was the internal grief they had.
It Ends with Us and Without Merit ended in an epic way and the author has given this story an even better twist. Angela Goethals’ narration is outstanding so this is the story that is going to leave an impression on your mind for a very long time to come.
