High Gloom is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the sixth chapter in Bad Guys Series. The book is written by Eric Ugland. He is a good name when it comes to writing gripping science fiction and fantasy novels. It could be proved if you attempt his One More Last Time novel. The same could be experienced in his Back to One novel as well. The audio narration of the High Gloom novel is done by Neil Hellegers. He performed brilliantly for this story and the characters sounded awesomely well.
Clyde Hatchett always knew that there was a corpse-king within him. He was trying slowly and gradually to get hold of his body and then bring up a force of the undead for some time. That might seem to be the somewhat urgent thing to be attended to, but it was only then, after being pushed hard by his friends out of Galton. The next thing that came was to rescue a woman from a bad marriage who was someone’s sister. Clyde was definitely in a position to deal with all of it.
After he was done dealing with it in a better way, his full left hand since then started to look as if it belonged to Crypt-Keeper. The Gloomguard however operated on a different plane as compared to anywhere else in Vuldrani. Everyone was out there for themselves and doing a favor was not an option there. So, if the need was to just talk with the mage, Clyde Hatchett must for a quest for which he doesn’t have any time.
The book is good, except for the ending which could have been better without the cliffhanger. The performance was top-notch and deserves a full 10/10.
