Little, Big Audiobook
Little, Big is a romance fantasy novel. It is written by John Crowley. He is an American essayist and author of science fiction, historical fiction, and fantasy novels. He is from the USA and has also worked in documentary and TV films. His fantasy and science fiction work helped him to establish himself as a considerable voice in the domain of imaginative writing. Flint and Mirror is a very good example of his work and so is Ka.
The audio narration of Little, Big is done by John Crowley himself. As a narrator of this book, Crowley gave a very calm and composed performance which this novel needed. Edgewood is something that couldn’t be found anywhere on the map but it is all about many houses. All of which are either put across or inside each other. It was filled from everywhere with enchantment and mystery. The further you wander there, the bigger it gets.
Smoky Barnable was the one who fell in deep love with Daily Alice Drinkwater. He traveled far away to Edgewood, the City on Foot, where Alice’s family home was. There he discovered himself right at the edge of an otherworld.
The literary work of John Crowley is known to have very special alchemy. He has a great skill to mix the world that we all know with his imagined world. All of that together looks more real and true. The story of this book is good but very complicated. The listeners will find it hard at times to keep track of all the characters. The induction of a genealogical chart would have made it much easier. Nonetheless, John Crowley as an author and narrator of this book did a fairly good job.
