Vampires are bound to be sexy and lusty but Luca Macquarie is not of the same type. He is sexy of course but going in search of a mate is not his business at all. For years he has lived without a mate because he is not looking for the right female partner. All these years Luca never expected to fall in love with a mere human female.
The vampire for the record does not like humans and when he went to save Samantha it was just a routine mission that he completed precisely. Suddenly after saving Samantha, the vampire developed a feeling for her in his heart. He was unable to leave her unguarded that’s why he decided to stay with her until the danger was not over. Samantha on the other hand is not an ordinary woman, she is a witch from the inside.
The woman never had any interest in magic but she was fated to become a witch. She tried to escape in the wild but was unable to hide her presence from her enemies. Thus she is finally forced to be with Luca who is the only one who wants to save her. Kym Grosso paints how the two aggressively go in search of the amulet that can solve their problem.
The speed of the story was more than Quintus and Hunter in the scenes where the two were running from the enemies. Ryan West however does not look in a hurry while narrating because he has a habit of finishing things in style. Clarity has remained among the chief strengths of Ryan and he has kept it under control here as well.
