Revenge is a romantic suspense novel. It is the third book in Slay Quartet novel series. The book is written by Laurelin Paige. She is an American romance novelist. The majority of her novels have hit the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling list. One such novel by the author is Dirty Filthy Rich Men and another one is Brutal Billionaire.
Elena Wolfe and Shane East have done the narration of Revenge. They were good, Shane East deserves a special mention here who had to narrate lots of ‘dirty’ stuff and he handled that pretty well. The status of their relationship changed yet again when Celia learned the fact that the devil takes care of his own.
The story started with the character of Edward Fasbender who was my saviour. It was from his ashes about which I cared a lot once. He was the one helping me to rise. He had a list of people who had wronged me. And then, he was adding names to that list as well. Those were the names that I once gave him. And we would soon plan and execute our revenge.
The story at the start looked fresh and original. It was quite nicely paced too but then there was a definite dip in pacing which to some point frustrated the listeners. However, the credit must be given to both the narrators who made everything sound so good and kept the listeners engaged for a long time. Eventually, the book came to a satisfying ending. As a whole, Revenge, the third book in the series is good and worth the time of the listeners.
