The poor girl was afraid of magic and monsters, ironically she lands in the lap of the most powerful demon in the universe. She used to read about demons in her books and was sure that seeing one was not a piece of good news, tragically her fate bounds her with a monster. The way that demon looked at her was surprising because he was not looking at her with lust rather it was love that her heartfelt as well.
Though the demon never expressed his love, as for the record he didn’t have any heart but those love vibes were clear and direct i.e piercing into the heart of the girl he got bound with. At first, she tried to hide the presence of this strong creature by her side. The people of the human world are not accustomed to seeing monsters and getting rid of them was the right way to deal with the problem. In the process of getting rid of the monster that was by her side all the time, she realized that he was not the only monster that was present close to her.
There were other creatures too that were present near the girl and they were trying to get to her and kill her. It was the demon’s love that was keeping her safe and alive. Annette Marie’s characterization in The One and Only Crystal Druid and Rogue Ghosts & Other Miscreants was exceptionally well.
The author has worked a lot on the two main characters in this story once again. Cris Dukehart had no problem narrating these characters because they were so well handled by the author.
