The name of the novel is awesome and appealing too, these are the kind of names that attract more and more listeners to a book. Britt is a newswoman and she has no complaints about her life as it is going on just fine. Perhaps it was not according to her plans or desires but it was nice and there was that vibe of positivity that she needed in it too.
One morning she opens her eyes and finds herself in bed with Jay. She had no idea how she landed in bed with that handsome detective and from here rises the second problem rises i.e the detective was not moving at all. Jay, the handsome and rising star was murdered right next to Britt and she has no idea about anything.
Jay and Raley were the two detectives who saved many people during a fire in the past. It was because of them that the lives of the local people were saved. Later Raley got trapped in a scandal when he tried to look deep into the case of the disastrous fire. Since then Raley has been facing troubles in his life and he hasn’t been able to get to the cause. When Raley listens to the death of his friend Jay, he at once comes to Britt because he thinks that she can help her in redemption.
Sandra Brown as a routine does not add too many questions in the story at once but here the author has tried to move along with the name and the theme. Texas! Chase is about broken people who were trying to find a safe shelter in life and Mean Streak also develops a great love story. Still, the element of mystery is the main thing that differentiates this story from the rest. Victor Slezak is with a classic voice and the narrator has the talent to narrate love and action with the same quality.
