One strange family and an equally strange heroine get tangled in a situation in which finding true love might get messy. Poppy Hathaway does not want the life that her family has been having for a long time rather she wants a cool and calm life of her own. She has tried to make things better for herself but it hasn’t been quite well for her on every occasion. In a hotel in London she comes under the attention of Harry Rutledge who does not allow the things of his choice to slip away from his hands.
He can do anything to get to the things which he likes to have. After a while, Poppy gets trapped in a big scandal with no way out but Harry comes to her rescue and also provides a marriage proposal as well. The marriage proved to be a success initially but after a while, the truth was brought to the surface.
It was Harry who planned the entire thing in order to get what he wanted. Poppy again feels heartbroken and she decides to leave Harry. At this point, it is up to Harry to prove that he really loves her and he has been loyal to her since the beginning. Poppy too starts feeling that her husband is the kind of lover she was looking for all her life. Lisa Kleypas is the author who knows how to create a situation that keeps the audience interested in the show.
Devil in Spring had a story that was rocket fast and still, the emotions in it were surprising. Then the author came up with another story with the name Marrying Winterborne which showed creative genius as well. That’s why Rosalyn Landor didn’t have to think about a lot of things in the narration because the platform was well set by the author already.
