It was the morning of the reaping that was supposed to initiate the 10th annual Hunger Hames. Coriolanus Snow, 18 years old in the Capitol was gearing up for his shot at the glory in the capacity of the mentor of the Hunger Games. That might house of Snow had fallen in the very hard times. Fate on the other side was hanging on the slim chance that Snow will be in a position to outwit, charm, and outmaneuver all of his fellow students for mentoring the winning tribute.
The odds looked to be totally against him. He was given the most humiliating assignment which was to mentor the female tribute who belonged to the lowest of the low District 12. Their fates were completely intertwined. Every choice that Snow would make would lead to either failure of favor, ruin or triumph. Within the arena, it would be an intense fight to the death. Snow just outside the area started to feel a lot for his doomed tribute and then must weigh in all of his needs for following the rules which were set against his desire to survive.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is an engrossing story and it will entertain you for sure. The only concern with this audiobook is the monotonous narration and also lack of energy.
