The Fiery Cross Audiobook
Gone to the world where Scottish warriors still exist, Claire Randall was first of all amazed to see everything. Later she fell in love and for her future is now a faint memory which now remains in her mind. Her relationship with Jamie Fraser made her forget everything which she loved once. We don’t see the woman crying for what she has lost or left behind in the future rather she gets engaged in the old movements of the Scottish people. [The Fiery Cross Audiobook]
Every now and then she wants an excess to the future but that is not for the sake of going back but because of the fact that she remains worried about the fate of her husband. Author Diana Gabaldon never portrays her main character trying to get back to the future. She is not looking for that unique artifact all the time which once brought her in 1771.
Jamie at this point still cannot understand the future and time travelling stuff but trusts the future predictions of his wife which always come true like the history lessons i.e concrete and unchangeable. Davina Porter narrated Claire’s character in Dragonfly in Amber and A Breath of Snow and Ashes when she was so much confused mentally. [The Fiery Cross Audiobook]
Now she has come out of that mental trauma and wants to be with Jamie as much as she can. The war is coming and Jamie wants to stop it but according to the prediction of his wife the war will take place no matter what happens. Still Jamie is not stopping his efforts at any cost in trying to stop the war as long as possible.
