Buckle up properly before starting this book because it is the most joyous ride one can find in the world of literature. There are two opposite characters in this story and they are forced to join forces for a single task that is big enough for both of them. Firstly there is an FBI agent named Kate O’ Hare who remains fully dedicated to her work all the time. Most people think that she has been obsessed with her work for a long time.
Giving time to her personal life seems to be a waste of time for her. Her boss thinks that she is the right tool to use against the crime world. In a mere span of five years, she has caught many criminals who were invisible to the eyes of police and the investigating department. Still, there is one man Kate hasn’t been able to put behind bars and his name is Nicholas Fox.
Nicholas no doubt has proved that he is clever like a fox and he has remained successful in many heists in which he hasn’t left a single trace. The man does not do such things because he needs money rather he does all that for the sake of fun. Kate desperately wanted to arrest him and he was quite surprised to see that a woman wanted to have him behind bars. Then to Kate’s astonishment, Nicholas gets caught in an easy way but this was also his trick. He proves to the FBI that it needs him on a serious mission against a big criminal. He also forces the department to make him a team with Kate.
Thus the two start their epic mission and Kate for the first time thinks that she has been tempted quite seriously. Going Rogue and One for the Money made Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg work together and this book is proof that they have started enjoying their working together. Even the narrator Scott Brick has shown his attraction towards this particular novel and he has shown the intention to narrate more of such material.
