If anyone does not know anything about Drizzt till this time then he has missed an awesome opportunity to enjoy fiction. The dark elf has done a lot of hard work for the sake of other people and all his life he has thought of forming a safe domain for his friends and himself. It is not a straight path which the author R.A. Salvatore presents to Drizzt in this part of the series. This is the last part of another legendary journey of Drizzt in which he has faced more deception than ever.
His friends along with his enemies have cheated him to an extent that he trusts no one now and thinks that he should not work for others rather find an isolated place for himself. Dahlia was once quite close to the dark elf but she too has been drifting away from him because of certain reasons and this too has broken Drizzt from the inside. His trust in his close allies and loved ones have disappeared all of a sudden.
Artemis i.e the bitter rival of Drizzt has stolen his love in the form of Dahlia so there is nothing that could make Drizzt smile as he moves forward in life.
Victor Bevine has played the role of the official narrator of the series since the beginning but he too altered his voice to some extent to depict the grief of the main character. Exile and The Orc King are decorated with special elements of their own so we cannot say that one book of Salvatore is better than the other one he has created.
