The New Jim Crow Audiobook
Karen Chilton was with a critical mission in the form of this book which was a hit right from the moment it first landed on the bookshelves of shops. Under the Skin and The Grimkes provided Karen the confidence to take on this job as well. Michelle Alexander wrote this book more than a decade ago and this is the book that has been discussed at different levels officially.
It brings to light the racial issues that have been there in this world for a long time. Some people say that the issues have been resolved permanently but the author is not with the same focus. She thinks that everything has been redesigned and the main agenda or issues still exist in the same way.
No one can deny these things which the author has presented in this book. The state of the criminal justice reforms movement which is taking place to this day is all because of the influence of this book. The book is based on realities and there is no place for assumptions here. Simple language is used for the listeners so that everyone can understand everything which the author wants to say with an open heart.
There is a story like flow in the details which makes it look more compact for everyone around. Several of the items which the book deals with are left with an open end so that the decision remains pending and the future can decide everything on its own. Don’t try to go against any of the ideas in this book rather take a deep breath and try to go with the flow.
