Lewis is a genius with the pen and when he comes up with an idea then he does not rest until he writes it down in full bloom. His writings and the selection of the topics are unique and they tell us about matters which we don’t pay attention to in our daily routine.
Ralph Cosham has entertained us with the narration and it was obvious that the narration would be entertaining because the book is superbly written. It will take you to the era when you listened to The Great Divorce and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as a child. Those books were for the purpose of escapism and fun. There is satire in the book which means that it is linked to the real world and the author wants us to understand the satire so that the purpose of writing the book can be fulfilled. Don’t think of a slow development of the story in the book because everything goes in an abrupt manner and there is no break once the twist takes over. Certain lessons in the book are not for the understanding of little kids but they will surely not waste a lot of time.
