Taylor Jenkins Reid is a highly talented writer who has made a name for himself by developing female characters who are in real distress. Monique wanted to become a journalist and she got the chance to enter into the field as well but she didn’t prosper in the field although she tried quite hard. She thought that she would never click because she lacked the connections that were needed to reach those who are on high posts.

One day she got an invitation from a former superstar named Evelyn Hugo. Evelyn wanted to publish her biography and for this she had selected Monique. For Monique it was a very good opportunity to rise high in life. The one thing which Monique wasn’t able to understand was the fact that why the former superstar selected Monique for an interview.

There were a lot of stories attached to Evelyn’s life, including the relation with the seven husbands that entered and left her life. As the old Hollywood legend started talking about her life, Monique started thinking that her life was very much like Monique’s personal life. Monique was also left all alone by her husband and she was struggling really hard in her profession.

At this stage she could do anything to rise in her passion and profession. Alma Cuervo, Robin Miles and Julia Whelan have done a fantastic work in narration. One True Loves and Carrie Soto Is Back were famous just like this novel in their time. These books give us a lot of things to think on and our mind gets a lot of guidance too for the spending of everyday life.
