The Wives Audiobook
Having one wife can be a problem sometimes and the poor chap in the story by Tarryn Fisher has three so he is in deep trouble. The story begins when the audience is told that a man has two wives and there is a proper arrangement between them. According to that arrangement, the two wives will not meet each other and they don’t have to know each other as well.
The husband will meet each one of them once a week and there would be no talk about the wife’s issues. That was alright with the two because they loved their husband so much and they weren’t willing to let him go. Though there were a few cracks that were showing in the marriage the first wife thought that such things can be mended with the passage of time.
Then one day when she was doing the laundry, she found a note in her husband’s pocket which hinted that her husband was going towards a third woman. Talking to her husband about the matter was not the remedy because he was too far gone. So the wife started a friendship with the new woman in her husband’s life. Lauren Fortgang narrates this talk between the two women quite superbly.
The name of the new woman is Hannah and soon the two women come so close to each other that they start meeting on daily basis. Then something strange comes to the surface like in Never Never: Part Two or An Honest Lie. One day Hannah comes to the coffee shop and she had bruises. According to her, it was the doing of her husband, and this alarms the other woman because she thinks that both of them have the same man in their life. Thus the suspicion develops and the story moves to the next step which is interesting.
