Mo Bedemier was the all-time favorite of the town and no one in Trenton was ready to believe that he has committed any kind of crime. Still, the police had their evidence because they caught Mo red-handed. He was carrying a weapon in a hidden way and for this, no one could save him from the upcoming trial. At the time of trial in the court, Mo didn’t show up and this started creating doubt in the mind of the people.
Some thought that Mo just ran away from the spot while the other were of the opinion that he had been abducted by the dangerous gang that put the weapon in his luggage in the first place. One way or the other, the man had to be found first so that the investigation can go on. Stephanie Plum happens to be the only expert in this department which the town has and she is hired for the job.
Usually, we observe that Stephanie is quite active and agile in her actions but she seems to be reluctant in taking this case because she thought that there was nothing special in it. Later when Stephanie started the mission, she soon started facing dangers which she didn’t hope for in this case.
