Two lovers with broken hearts and shattered souls find peace in the presence of one another. The girl was abducted long ago when she was a little child and her abductor was nothing less than a monster. She faced terrible situations all her life and now she feels nothing. Love, happiness and pleasure are the words which have lost all their charm for her.
She is living a robotic life since her early youth and suddenly her heart starts pounding a little faster in the presence of an individual who is struck hard by fate too. The man she finds or meets is also scared because of the cruelties of life and he has hidden in the woods for a long time.
He thinks that the world of humans is not for him anymore. Just like the young woman, he too does not smile at all and he does not like to talk to any living being after the terrible circumstances that he has faced in life. In the presence of this man, the girl finally feels love, perhaps for the first time in her life and now she wants him to feel the same thing.
The two can provide the support to each other that they need in life. Carian Cole’s Don’t Kiss the Bride tells us about love which just binds the two lovers together then there is another with the name Torn that is in sequence with this series. These two books would be ideal with this one because they talk about the same kind of love which is mentioned here by the narrators Eva Erickson and Guy Locke.
